Print Publications Process Fall 2015
Synergia + Somah
This project involved creating branding for Syngergia, a healthcare application developer, as well as its first app, named Somah. I created a singular system integrated into the company’s branding and the interface of the app. I used the tree as the primary metaphor for the company’s holistic approach to health. Each part of the tree represents an individual piece of a user’s overall wellness. For more on this project click here.
BLOT Font
Especially in academia, individuals are expected to print out many pages of thick text on a daily basis. While they can print double sided, print on scrap paper etc, there are not many options for people looking to save ink in addition to paper. This sans serif font was designed for text type and to use less ink than traditional typefaces while still maintaining legibility and the illusion of a full stroke. Thus far I have completed the capitol letters and am currently working towards completing the lowercase and punctuation marks. In addition to functionality I created this font as a way for people to think about sustainable practices and solutions. Created in Glyphs Mini (Winter/Spring 2015)

Selected Pages from “When She Goes”
This was my first attempt at a full length graphic narrative. The assignment was to create a five page comic in the romance genre. This was drawn and inked traditionally with brush, pen and ink, and colored digitally in Photoshop CS6. (Fall 2014)
This is an interpretation of two visual contrasts: form versus counter form, or positive and negative space, and horizontal versus vertical. Illustrator & Final Cut (Spring 2014)

Crisis
Assignment: Create a work based on hard and soft research. The concept I chose was existential crisis, especially within the context of treatment through art therapy. In many of the patient cases I read, the crisis happened over a long period of time. The crisis occurs because of the person’s anxiety towards some existential idea, such as death, isolation, or meaninglessness. My piece depicts the progression of a crisis and the confrontation of the cause (one’s own mortality). Illustrator (Winter 2014)
